Update 22.02.21

The Prime Minister is scheduled to address the nation at 7pm tonight to confirm the ‘roadmap’ out of this national lockdown, and we are expecting updates for schools and pupil attendance as part of this. The Government has indicated that any changes from the current arrangements will not be implemented until Monday 8 March 2021, so we will continue with the school attendance arrangements that were in place before half term, for at least the next fortnight. All schools must follow the Department for Education (DfE) published advice on responding to COVID-19, and this isn’t usually updated until a few days after the Prime Minister makes his announcements, As such, we will write out to all families as soon as we are able to, to confirm what changes will be made to school attendance from 8 March 2021, once we have clarity on this. We will seek to provide this as soon as we can, but please bear with us as we await the DfE guidance update.

Thank you for your continued support.

Free School Meal Update - 06.01.21

School Update - 05.01.21

School will re-open tomorrow, 06.01.21, for vulnerable and critical worker children only. Families requesting a place today will have received a letter confirming this and the arrangements for tomorrow.  All other children will now revert to remote learning.  Every child learning from home will receive a pack of resources with all the information parents need to support with this for the rest of the term.  Staff have been out delivering these today and will continue tomorrow so please do not worry if you have not yet received this  - we will get them to you as quickly as we can.  In the meantime please ensure that you use the SEESAW app to access learning uploaded by the class teacher.  Further information regarding free school meals will be issued as soon as possible tomorrow.

Critical Worker Update - 05.01.21

During the period of national lockdown, school will re-open to vulnerable children and the children of critical workers only - please check the up to date list to see if you are eligible here.  If one or more parent in your household is deemed to be a critical worker and you would like to take up a place you need to email school to confirm this.  You will also need to state your role and provide a form of evidence to confirm that you are a critical worker such as a letter from your employer or an ID badge.

Please email the school on Crags@nexusmat.org as soon as possible today informing us of your request for a place and we will get back to you with details of next steps once we have confirmation of numbers.

School Closure Update - 04.01.21

Following the announcement from the Prime Minister this evening primary schools are being asked to revert to online learning for the majority of pupils from tomorrow.  We will confirm arrangements for this and provision for critical worker and vulnerable children as soon as we are able to.

As there will be significant disruption for staff whilst key worker provision is put in place, school will be closed to all pupils tomorrow to ensure we have the time to review updated guidance and agree a plan of provision for the remainder of this half term.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this as quickly as we can to keep you updated.
